HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

 

Here are my wonderful new shoes that I'm gonna wear tonight!! :) I bought them in Paris from Aldo. I love them, just hope I'll be able to walk in them too.. ;)

I just finished making a chocolate pie and now I'm going to my friend's place to prepare for tonight. We're organizing a blingbling theme party at another friend's place, so we have lots of golden and sparkling decorations, hihi...  At midnight we're going to see the fireworks and later out to a club.

Gorgeous green

It's finally MINE!! I've been looking at this gorgeous Karen Millen clutch for some time now and I decided to give myself a little Christmas present. :) I love the green color and I also seem to have a passion for snake skin at the moment.. I've got a lot of snake skin things, like pants, hairband, bracelet, key chain and now a bag as well... Hihi.

In two days it's NEW YEAR'S EVE! Me and my friends still have a lot to plan, but at least we know who we're celebrating it with. :) I'm the worse at planning New Year's Eves, it's always some last minute planning and deciding what to do and with who. But this year I at least know already who I'm spending it with. ;)

It's been a good long weekend. I haven't done much except eating and sleeping, but it's been wonderful. Soon I have to go home, because tomorrow morning work starts again..

I met some friends in Porvoo yesterday evening, we went to Seurahovi, a nightclub there. It's always fun to go there, I met many friends and a few relatives as well and the people can be quite amusing.. ;) It was just maybe a mistake to go there sober, because the people there were everything but sober! And they kept walking on my new shoes!!! >:c Otherwise it was a fun night, hehe. It was a bit less fun to come home to a dark house, the power was out because of the storm.. Nice.. But I found some matches and candles, so it was actually really cozy in the end. :)

Now it's finally Christmas! We've been watching cartoons all day with my brother and sister (who was mostly sleeping as usual..) :) Now I have to go and help my mum make the last salad and then dinner is finally ready. :) I'm so hungry. And later we're opening the presents.

Hello!

Now I think I finally got Christmas present for EVERYONE! The apartment is pouring over with presents and I'm actually making the last ones right now. The last few days have been a bit stressful with work, finding presents, meeting friends etc.. But soon I can finally relax, because it's Christmas!!

I went out for dinner with two good friends last night and we had a lot of fun. :D We went to Macu, have never been there before, it's a restaurant at the Crown Plaza Hotel. It was a really nice place and later we went for drinks to A21, a bar with the best drinks in Helsinki.

Now I have to get the present out of the oven. ;)

Last week went by so fast!!!! Too fast.. It feels like we just stayed in Paris a few days instead of a week. :( I could have stayed longer, but it's also really nice to be back home. On Saturday we walked around in Paris most of the day, had dinner and then we went to our friends' place before we went out. :) It's been a while since I went partying in Paris, so it was lots of fun. First we went to L'étoile, a really fancy place by the Arch of Triumph, where my friend got kicked out for some reason.. Haha. So we went to another club, my favorite when I lived in Paris, VIP room! :) I went there a lot, because I think it's one of the best clubs and also because it was just a few minutes from my home. The club is just ridiculously expensive. I payed 10 euros for a mini bottle of water!!! So I recommend those who want to drink, to do it before you go to the club to prevent yourself from getting ruined.. At least that's what I always did, but there's also always people with big bottles everywhere that give you drinks if you want even without asking. We were home at around 6 a.m. and at that time me and my friend, who also wore high heels the whole night, could barely walk anymore. :/

The last few days have been quite eventful. Now I'm so tired my head will soon explode (and I have to wake up early tomorrow too, for work), so good night!!

Chinatown

 As planned we went to the Parisian Chinatown, or whatever it's called.. :) I wanted to explore a new place in Paris, and here I had never been before. I had no idea there was a place like this in Paris, but it was really fun and different to go there! The supermarkets were huge and consisted of every Asian dish/ product you could imagine. There were also a lot of Chinese decorations and clothing, good it's not really my style, otherwise I would probably have bought quite a few things there.. :)

Later we went to the center. I bought a pair of beautiful golden high heels from Aldo. <3 And we also went for a few drinks. Today it's Saturday, so we're going to a couple of friends' house soon and then later probably out partying!! ;)

So, here's some pictures from my first days in Paris. Because I've lived here almost 2 years, I don't feel like doing any of the touristic stuff. I've been here so much that I always try to do something new every time I'm here and in a city like Paris it's easy!

The first thing I did when we came to the center, was to visit my old neighborhood. I miss it really much, the area is just so wonderful! We've done some compulsory touristic things like going to Lafayette, seen the opera, but I think that's actually it so far. We've more just met up with friends than done any sightseeing.. Haven't done much shopping either. Yesterday I bought three gorgeous pieces of leather that I will make purses and jewelry of. :)

One night we spent at our friends place, with two cute cats walking on me when I slept. :) Now we're back in "our" apartment that we borrowed from my boyfriend's dad and soon we're going out. Don't really know our plans yet, maybe go to Chinatown, where I've never been yet. And then we'll see.. :)

My dad came and got our little cat today, my parent's are taking care of her when we're away and I miss her already!!! The apartment feels really empty without her... :(

Earlier in the evening my friend Jeanette came over to drink some glögg and eat gingerbread (yeah I know I'm addicted to them now) and we played a game where we found out some very interesting things. Like for example that you hear worse when you're really full and that the earth's population is increasing by 250.000 people every day! :o

Btw, I had a haircut today. :)

Spontanious Christmas party

I had a few friends over after work yesterday. First I was just gonna meet a friend to hear about her trip to India, but it turned out to be a small Christmas party. :) Because I was working the whole day I didn't really have time to prepare that much, but my adorable friends brought food and then we had of course some glögg and gingerbread. I also got presents! :)

Today I haven't done anything, and it feels so good!! I just watched Aristocats, one of my favorite Disney movies and the reason I fell in love with Paris before I even went there.. I'm so happy, because in three days I will be in Paris again!!! :D

I feel like a real Twilight geek lately. My friend Fanny that I've watched the two first movies with, is soon coming over to watch the third sequel of the Twilight saga, Eclipse.  And then we're going to the cinema to watch the fourth one tomorrow...

I've been sleeping sooo much lately. It must be this depressing dark weather.. Or then it's my wonderful new sheets from IKEA. Even my cat Chanelle seem to sleep really well in them haha.. :) But it's terrible because I never seem to get anything done, when it's getting dark a few hours after I wake up! :o But I have to pull myself together, and start waking up earlier and I probably have to buy a better alarm clock too!! :D

Now I'm off to work!

I have to learn to say no

I'm the worse at saying no. Today after work, a guy who sells dead sea skin products asked me to try some of their products. Usually I say no thanks, because it's the safest way to avoid buying anything.. But today I was too tired to say no, so I just let him show the products. Now I'm at home with 4 new creams and 200 euros less on my bank account. :/ What's wrong with me? In my defense though, the products were all really great and I really needed some new skin products. I had like one cream that I used for almost everything! :) So I'm happy with my new products and hoping my skin will look great after using them!! :DD

It's been a good week! On Wednesday me and my boyfriend packed our bags and took the boat to Sweden. :) On the boat we went to the spa and later we had an enormous buffet dinner! The boat was swaying really much, so there was no chance to walk straight or dance without keeping on to something.. And the whole day yesterday I still felt the earth swaying, haha. In Stockholm we didn't do anything special, we were just shopping and walking around in the city. We also met my cousin, which was nice. :) I didn't take many pictures at all, it was too freezing! I finally had to buy another sweater to keep me from freezing to death.

Yesterday we made some gorgeous cup cakes with my friend Jeanette. I was so tired after the trip and work, but I couldn't say no to cup cakes.. :) Now another friend is coming over to watch the second Twilight movie, New moon. We decided to watch them all, before we go to see the newest one at the movie theater. I'm not gonna do anything else tonight, even though it's Saturday. I already went out Wednesday and Thursday on the boat, so I think that's enough for one week.. :)

Homemade candles

Last Saturday me, my sister and some friends took a course to make our own candles. It was a lot of fun, it just took a bit longer than I expected.. I thought we would dip them a few times and then they would be ready, but I was wrong.. It took 3,5 hours to make 20 candles, but I'm really proud of them. :D The candlesticks are from IKEA.

Now I'm packing, because tonight we're going for a cruise to Stockholm! :) We just brought our little baby cat to some friends, who are gonna take care of her when we're away. Gonna miss her so much!!!

Today me and my boyfriend went to IKEA! I haven't been there in quite some time, so we decided to go there to do some shopping for our home and of course to eat meatballs. :) We ended up buying a few things, some that we planned beforehand but also a lot we just suddenly had to have. At IKEA, even though you don't really need anything, you still end up buying a bunch of stuff.. But I really like going there, everything is so cute and cheap. :)

I have a week's vacation in two weeks and we just bought tickets to PARIS! <3 Can't wait to go there, feels like ages since I was there in spring. I love the city and it's so beautiful especially around Christmas, with all the gorgeous Christmas lights and decorations. And it's the perfect place for doing some Christmas shopping! :)

Dance

Here's another little masterpiece of mine.. ;) These silver eggs are made of a silver paste and were quite hard to make, but I'm happy with the result.

I've had almost the whole week off work, so I've had time to work on my thesis, go to yoga and dance classes and meet up with my friends. :) I have this 10 x card to Studio High Heels, where they teach great dance lessons. Me and my friend Jeanette are still pretty bad though (or at least I am) and can't really keep up with the amazingly fast teachers.. :D I also bought this gym card to Motivus yesterday, I'm really psyched about going for more dance lessons now. It's so much fun and such a great workout. :)

Cute leggings

Here's one of the wonderful things I bought from the Versace collection for H&M last Thursday. I think the leggings are really cool and makes any boring outfit a bit more fun. :)

I wasn't feeling my best yesterday, because the night before a friend from work threw a housewarming party. But I went to my sister's place, where she organized a family brunch with our parents and grand parents. I had to go and help her out a bit earlier, because she also went out the night before...

It feels like I've been working a lot the last few weeks, so I'm really happy to have the next 4 days off. I'm not gonna do anything special, just relax!! :D And maybe work on my final thesis...

Today's catch

Yeaaah, this is what I brought home today!! hihihii :D I went to H&M already a bit before 8 am to have a look at their guest designer Versace's collection, one hour before work. The queue was reeaaally long, but I managed to get in to the store and grab a few things before my work started. :)

I started this year's Christmas season yesterday by drinking my first glass of glögg (mulled wine) and eating the first gingerbread, when we had a cozy glögg night with a friend. I had another glass of this wonderful drink this evening, and I'm sure there will be many more of those before Christmas is over! :)

Versace for H&M

Soon Versace's collection for H&M will be out in stores! There are a bunch of dresses I would love to add to my wardrobe, but they're all quite expensive so we'll see.. The store in Helsinki will open at 8 in the morning, so I think I'll have to go and check it out quickly before work on Thursday. :)

Aaah, soon the weekend is here again! It feels like last weekend was just a few days ago, but I guess I'm wrong.. :) I don't even remember what I've been doing for the last few days, at least working quite much. And yesterday I went to school to do some work on my thesis, but I ended up having lunch with friends for 2,5 hours, so that didn't work out as planned. And later me and two other friends met to have a movie night and dinner, but we never got to see a movie.. Just talked about girlie stuff (haha) and ate enormous amounts of food. We had tacos and then chocolate pie (that I made) with ice cream for dessert.

I made this ring on my silver course this week. I had lots of small silver remains from old silverworks, so I decided to make them into a silver ball and make that into a ring. I don't know what it is with me and rings, I just can't get enough of them!!!!!

Carnival of Venice

It's been a busy weekend! On Friday we had a work dinner and party with the theme Carnival of Venice. Everyone looked so good! I was the only one wearing a costume though, everyone else wore these gorgeous dresses.. But fortunately I had another dress with me, so I could change to a more normal one later. :) We had a lot of fun at the carnival, we even won the price for best dressed. :D Our private party was until midnight, and after some friends and my boyfriend joined me at the club. 

Yesterday a friend came over to visit me and Chanelle. :) Later me and my boyfriend went to the bar A21, where I had the best cocktails I've ever had in Helsinki! I have to go back there again soon. :)

Silver chains

Hey!

I made these silver earrings this week. They're made of three different silver chains, didn't make the chain myself this time.. They're really much more shiny in real life though!

Now I have to get ready for a work dinner and party. We're gonna eat at Glöd, where Mecca used to be, and then we're going out to Tiger for a masquerade party. The theme is the Carnival of Venice! :) It's gonna be so much fun!

A few days ago me and my boyfriend went to the Museums of Cultures, in the Tennis Palace in Helsinki. There we found some interesting things and places. :) It's worth going there and it's free!

Today I had a day off work, so I went to school to write on my thesis... I also went to check out the collection Paola Suhonen, designer of Ivana Helsinki, designed for Seppälä. I have to say that I wasn't crazy about it.. But there were a few cute dresses.
